Branding

Bottled: Cumberland Wealth Planners

Landon Loveall, founder of Cumberland Wealth Planners, was in need of a logo for his new business. As a financial planner that helps young families think about the future, he wanted something that was trustworthy, compassionate, knowledgeable, and different.

Given that Cumberland Wealth Planners’ audience is comprised of couples that are too busy or don’t know where to start when it comes to planning their financial future, the logo would have to be clean, easy to understand, and interesting without being too busy, confusing, or overly dramatic.

The first round of logos took into account Landon’s preferred color scheme while positioning the name as the dominant attribute. As a new business, showcasing the name should be a priority (over showcasing an image or icon).

Upon presentation of these initial six, Landon immediately was drawn to option five. We nailed it on the first try.

Then, Cumberland Wealth planners needed basic promotional collateral: business cards and thank you notes.

Again, clean and simple was the overall design aesthetic in order to present the basic information in an easy-to-understand format while also helping the recipient remember something unique about Cumberland Wealth Planners. The calming effect of the rolling hills combined with a straightforward sentence about what the organization does accomplished this on the reverse side of the business card.

Cumberland Wealth Planners Business CardThe thank you note has the logo centered on the front and is blank inside so that staff can add a personal note. It is printed on linen paper and paired with a linen envelope to add a touch of professionalism.
