The mission of the Cumberland River Compact is to enhance the health and enjoyment of the Cumberland River and its tributaries through education, collaboration, and action. As Nashville and the surrounding area continues to grow rapidly, Cumberland River Compact serves a vital role in creating both awareness and action throughout the community about sustainable practices that improve our water and environment. Proof partnered with the organization on rebranding and design including a new logo/visual identity, brand standards, and supportive collateral.

With a refined and renewed brand identity in place, brand standards and guidelines, and marketing/promotional materials in hand, The Cumberland River Compact is well-equipped to further their awareness and reach throughout the community and beyond, increase fundraising and volunteer involvement, and improve their impact efforts — establishing Middle Tennessee as an engaged and committed leader to improving the quality of life for residents and supporters.

WEBSITE

When designing Cumberland River Compact’s website, we first focused on the goals and purpose of the organization, allowing us to map out the functions and visuals necessary to create a digital presence that effectively educated, sparked collaborative engagement, and inspired action. We then translated those goals into an approachable, captivating website aesthetic — featuring beautiful nature photography and honest images of the Cumberland River Compact’s important work. 

The design uses ample white space and clear, direct messaging, making it possible for visitors to quickly understand the significance of the organization’s agenda and mission. As a non-profit, it was important to design a site that provided easy ways to get involved and donate, and to contribute to caring for one of the most biodiverse regions in the country.
