Say Hello to Our Kick-Ass Fall Intern, Jocelyn

Can you feel it? Fall is in the air. Pumpkin Spice Latte’s don’t lie, and soon enough, we’ll be throwing on our collective “comfy sweaters” as we usher in bonfires, Oktoberfest celebrations, and weekends doing nothing but watching football.

This fall here at Proof we’re thrilled to welcome Jocelyn Young to our team as a marketing/content intern. She’s working to make sure we kick-ass with content strategy and marketing for ourselves and our clients, and will no doubt gain valuable experience in working closely with our merry crew.¬†Want to know more about¬†this cake decorating, marketing rockstar, globe traveler? Give us five fun/interesting facts about you:

(1) Called Scotland “home” for four months. (2) I am a trained cake decorator (bi-product of working at a bakery for four years). (3) The best Saturday mornings start early & involve yard sales and lots of coffee. (4) When my life becomes a major motion picture, I request that Julia Roberts stars as me. I think she’s great. (5) The next place I intend to travel: Iceland.

What’s the one thing you’re best at?

Organization. I think my moleskins and endless to-do lists speak for themselves.

Why did you choose to join us at Proof?

I’ve dreamed of working for a company that brings their A-game every day, who isn’t afraid to entertain crazy ideas, and believes in the importance of stories. The team at Proof does all those things (and more).

And finally, what does “branding” mean to you?

Branding isn’t about the product, but instead, the story that it tells about the company and the people who dared to dream that product into life. It’s about inviting others into that story to give purpose and meaning; to create a community of individuals who are passionate and excited about what you have to offer. Brian Collins once said, “We say we want information, but we don’t experience the world through information–we experience the world through story.” Crafting eloquent, cohesive, relatable narratives through the branding process allows us to do just that.
